Your data

Privacy notice.

Updated October 5, 2026. Incremental Asylum uses reader information to operate accounts, private game shelves, ratings, comments and moderation.

What we collect

Accounts use an email address for sign-in and a display name for comments. We store your wishlist, collection, favorites, ratings, comments, reports, notification status and timestamps needed to prevent abuse. Hosting, authentication, bot protection and email providers also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and delivery/security logs.

What other readers see

Approved comments show your display name, comment text and publication date. Game rating averages and vote counts are public. Your email address, shelves and individual ratings are private. Moderators can read comments awaiting review and reports needed to moderate the conversation; moderation access does not give them access to your private shelves.

Services we use

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides bot protection. Supabase operates authentication and the community database. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Privacy-request email is forwarded by Porkbun to the operator’s inbox. These providers process information to deliver those services. We do not sell reader information or use account data for targeted advertising.

Browser storage

The account system stores a sign-in session in your browser so you can stay signed in. Bot protection may use its own security storage. Signing out clears this site’s saved account session. External links and embedded media may involve other services with their own privacy notices.

Retention and your choices

Account information remains while your account exists. You can remove shelf entries, ratings and your comments, download an account export, or permanently delete your account through Settings. Account deletion removes its associated community records from the active database. Provider security logs and any retained recovery copies are separate from the active database and follow their retention settings; a recovery procedure must preserve deletion requests.

Contact

For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, email privacy@incrementalasylum.com. We may ask you to verify account ownership before releasing private information or making changes. Do not send passwords or sign-in links. Reader accounts are intended for people aged 13 or older.
